Testing remote handling for the Pile Fuel Storage Pond

The Pile Fuel Storage Pond (PFSP) and adjoining decanning building at Sellafield were commissioned in 1949. They were created for the receiving, cooling, and decanning of fuel from the Windscale reactors, and later on, Magnox fuel from the Calder Hall reactors.
