Jeffery and jeryl brivic went ear shopping last Ml knowing exactly what they wanted: a dark green Toy-ota RAV4 with a CD player. So they drove to their local Toyota store ready to do a deal. The salesman said it was their lucky day: the sport utility vehicle they wanted would arrive on the lot in just a few days. After two hours of haggling, the Brivics went home happy. But their smiles faded when the BAV4 arrived and the salesman demanded an extra $1,000 for the CD player. "He outright lied to us," complains Jef-fery, who reluctantly wrote a check. "I love Toyota's cars, but this was ridiculous." So when the Brivics replaced a second car last winter, their days as loyal Toyota buyers were over. Says Jeryl: "I ended up with a Ford Explorer because I didn't want to deal with another Toyota dealership."
