PURPOSE: A feeling generation device making a robot learn feelings and a method for generating feelings are provided to generate the feeling that a user wants by changing the distribution of feelings arranged in a feeling space by the learning of the user and to encourage the interest of the user by making the robot express the feelings that the user empathizes with.;CONSTITUTION: A feeling generation device making a robot learn feelings comprises an emotional status inputting unit (10), an emotional determination processing unit (20), an emotional express processing unit (50), a learning plan unit (30) and a user input unit (40). The emotional determination processing unit determines the feeling value of a robot by setting the value inputted by the emotional status inputting unit on a feeling coordinate system. The emotional express processing unit performs an emotional express depending on the feeling value determined by the emotional determination processing unit.
