Midnight showings were sold out across the U.S., and thousands of Hogwarts acolytes in New York swarmed a Lincoln Center showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Some 200 fans had camped out for a week, some without showering, to catch a glimpse of their favorite spell-casters on the red carpet.
