摘要

The importance of pathogenicity-correlated DNA from Pseudomonas syringae, the causal agent of brown spot disease in Phaseolus vulgaris, is demonstrated in relation to other already characterized pathogenicity factors from plant pathogenic pseudomonads. Using P. syringae as an example, recombinant DNA techniques for the investigation of the genes involved in pathogenicity, the hrp genes, are described. In addition, other pathogenicity mechanisms and elicitor like substances are discussed.
