The period covered by this issue of New Zealand Railscene has seen very few new developments within KiwiRail. However the issue starts off with an extensive coverage of KiwiRail in action throughout New Zealand, doing what it is good at - hauling unit trains of containers, coal, logs and other products. There is some spectacular footage of heavy trains at work. One must not forget the passenger trains, with Northern Explorer and Tranzalpine, as well as Auckland and Wellington commuter electric multiple units, featured. All in all it makes for a busy railway.
