I received Observer 295 last Saturday, and I must say how good this magazine is becoming. However, while the current Observer is good, there are one or two things, particularly concerning some of the photo captions, which are not quite correct. I don't want to nitpick unnecessarily, but I think that some need correcting. They are - Page 45. I'm not sure how you could conclude that N42 was a compound locomotive. Only N27 was such, and it had the distinctive Vauclain Compound cylinders to match. It is a nice picture, and this is the first time that I have seen the colourised version.
