Thanks for Observer 325 which arrived today - interesting as always.The caption to the photograph by Rob Merrifield on page 48 with the very brief description of 'A carriage train at Taita with E~D101 on 2 May 1964' has caused me some surprise as the train, comprising two sixty-foot carriages and one sixty-foot car-van, is clearly not a normal commuter service - and 2 May 1964 is about the only day fifty years ago when I can still clearly recall what I was doing!
