How Does Creative Writing Sound?

I think the call of a dodo sounded like a foghorn on a ship way out past the outer reef. I have no proof of this; I merely imagine it to be the case. Because I imagine a dodo had this sound when I hear someone talking about the dodo, about its subsequent extinction, about why that might have happened, about what a dodo might have been like, in my head I hear a fog horn on a ship way out past the furthest reef I can see from the veranda of my house here on the shore. This naturally manifests itself in how I respond to the word 'dodo', when it is written, and how I hear any writing containing this word. In some instances of writing I seem to hear the sound more clearly than in others.
