Rothamsted Research, the UK's oldest and largest agricultural research centre, is seeking a research assistant in the Fungicide Research Group. The post holder will work on the isolation and fungicide sensitivity testing of field isolates of the cereal pathogen Mycosphaerellb graminicola. The main tasks will be the isolation of strains from leaf samples, in vitro and in planta fungicide sensitivity testing and genotyping (DNA extraction, PCR amplification and sequencing of fungicide target encoding genes).
