Criticism of Ofcom's plans to sell off spectrum released by analogue switch-off is mounting, with the BBC, I TV and transmission company Arqiva joining the fray. Stung by the criticism, the regulator has made a detailed defence of its "digital dividend" plans in an exclusive article in New Media Markets. It rejected claims that its plans would threaten high-definition television and that it was acting in the interests of the Treasury.
