摘要

Herein is investigated the design of a mechanical structure and the selection of a suitable construction material, using the Solidworks computational software environment. A structure known as impact attenuator is studied and designed and a proper material is selected, so that the final outcome is in line with the restrictions and regulations imposed by the international FSAE contest.
