Golden Gate Section Partners with SNAME to Host Technical Meetings

The Golden Gate Section and the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) held a joint technical meeting at Zio Fraedos restaurant in Vallejo, CA, in April. The meeting was preceded by a tour of the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard s newly converted ship breaking facilities, which are being used to break down and dispose of the mothballed ships of the MARAD Fleet anchored near Richmond, CA.
