BUILDING STUDENT PARTICIPATION

Thank you for the opportunity to contribute a guest column relating to student-centric efforts within the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE). As you likely know, ASNE and the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME) leadership have taken the National Academies "Rising Above the Gathering Storm" report to heart and are exerting real effort to ensure the long-term vitality of our profession by actively encouraging professional society participation by the next generation of naval engineers.
