Frontline disease prevention and control

摘要

As one of China's leading institutions for medical science, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences (AMMS) bears the responsibility for protecting not just the health of the country's armed forces, but also the health of the Chinese people. Founded 60 years ago, the academy has branched out from its military origins into a broad range of medical fields and civilian applications, with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and control and on responding to medical emergencies in China and around the world.
