Correction

The article 'Imagine that' published in the July 2010 issue of National Safety suggested erroneously that visiting academic Professor Patrick Hudson had said the Piper Alpha platform in the North Sea that exploded in 1988 belonged to Royal Dutch Shell (Shell). In fact, the platform was operated by Occidental Petroleum (Caledonia) Limited. The remaining references to Shell in the article relate to Shell's response to Lord Cullen's report on how the oil and gas industry in general should respond to the Piper Alpha disaster.
