The alleged misuse of hypnosis by somernUFO abduction investigators has engendered more controversy within the UFO field than nearly any other aspect of Ufology. This uproar led to a grievance against several well known UFO investigators who employed hypnosis to recover repressed abduction memories and their affiliated organizations, filed in 1984 by a New York physician.
