The article "Effective Removal" (April) highlighted some inconsistencies with the direct experiences of Saipem. There appears to be some misleading statements that we believe require correction. The article cited, on several occasions, the TOGI template decommissioning project, and the author commented on the use of a semisubmersible crane vessel in this actual decommissioning project. A paper presented at the 13th NPF North Sea Decommissioning Conference, in February 2013 ("Saipem-TOGI Removal Experience") outlined our direct involved solution to the challenges faced, challenges not fully recognized in the article in the April (mt).
