Server-Side Paging with the Entity Framework and ASP.NET MVC 3

In my January Data Points column, I showed off the jQuery Data-Tables plug-in and its ability to seamlessly handle huge amounts of data on the client side. This works well with Web applications where you want to slice and dice large amounts of data. This month, I'll focus on using queries that return smaller payloads to enable a different type of interaction with the data. This is especially important when you're targeting mobile applications.
