2013 Volkswagen Jetta GLI

I was all too happy to take the reins of our long-term 2013 VW Jetta GLI from Ron Kiino. Having owned a couple Vee-Dubs and having just returned our long-term 2012 Honda Civic Si, I looked forward to the super Jetta's slightly more refined version of the sporty-sedan recipe. And that is exactly what I got. The GLI is sharp-looking, well-appointed, sporty, comfortable, and overall, a very nice car. Despite being 372 pounds heavier than the Civic Si, the GLI outshines its competitor in handling. It puts down good numbers and, more important, does it in a smooth, undramatic, linear fashion.
