Fire of Discontent

In our May 2004 management issue we ran a story titled "Are Your Techs Moonlighting?" The story produced an unusual amount of e-mail, letters and phone calls. It was clear early on in this feedback process that we had hit a nerve. Before I responded to these communications, I had to go back and reread the article, which was written by veteran aftermarket journalist Jim Halloran. I expected to see a number of negative statements about moonlighters that I had somehow missed in the editing process.
