Security and surveillance systems provider Petards has revealed that strong orders for its eyeTrain CCTV system have helped boost financial performance in the first half of 2015. While reporting a 26% rise in operating profit and a 30% increase in pre-tax profit, the company revealed that it currently has over £2.5 million of orders for the eyeTrain system. Petards has framework agreements with Hitachi for the Class 800/801 Inter-city Express Programme trains for the Great Western and East Coast main lines as well as with Siemens for its Desiro City fleet, being built for the Thameslink route and South West Trains. Latterly it also signed deals with Bombardier to fit the system to Class 387 EMUs, including the fleet already in service with Govia Thameslink Railway and the follow-on units currently being built for the Gatwick Express service.
