HIGH COURT TO HEAR STAGECOACH CASE

STAGECOACH SAYS its cases against the Department for Transport regarding disqualification from three franchise competitions are due to be heard in the High Court in early 2020. In April the company announced it had been disqualified from the East Midlands, South Eastern (in partnership with Alstom) and West Coast Partnership (in partnership with Virgin and SNCF) competitions due to non-compliance concerning pensions. It was also reported that Arriva had sought to take legal action against DfT on a similar basis regarding the East Midlands competition.
