Modern: Why did Rubbermaid decide to automate what had been a manually operated section of your warehouse rather than replace it with another manual system?rnElliott: We had planned on replacing our existing system with another manually operated system in part because we had been told that automation was going to be very cost-prohibitive. As we got into the project and talked to a number of vendors, we were pleasantly surprised at how much automation had become available that could be retrofitted to a standard post-and-beam rack system like ours and that it was economical and cost-effective. Those were great improvements.
