In this paper, analytical solutions for the steady fully developed laminar fluid flow in the parallel-plates partially filled with a uniform porous medium and partially with a clear fluid are presented with suction and injection on the walls. The Brinkman-extended Darcy equation is utilized to model the flow in the porous region. The condition suggested by Ochoa-Tapia and Whitaker (1995 Ⅰ & Ⅱ) and also reported in Alazimi and Vafai (2001) was utilized to match the fluid flow at the interface between porous and clear fluid regions. The dependence of the flow on Darcy number, Pressure gradient, the adjustable coefficient in the stress jump boundary condition and suction and injection are investigated. Similarly, the skin frictions at the clear fluid and porous regions are discussed for suction and injection.
