The Scottish First Minister has raised the possibility of further financial support for Glasgow City Council to reopen leisure and cultural facilities. Glasgow Life, a charity that runs cultural, sporting and learning services on behalf of the council, has begun reopening about 90 venues as pandemic restrictions are eased in Scotland, but more than 50 venues will remain closed for the time being. On the campaign trail, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, whose constituency is located within the city, told a local paper she would 'talk to the council about how the Scottish Government can best support' the reopening of venues and there 'possibly could be financial help'.
