Campaigners and LGPS members to discuss risks of climate change

Local government pension scheme members (LGPS) and campaigners are expected to meet the regulator next month to discuss climate change risks. The planned meeting with The Pensions Regulator comes after campaign groups ClientEarth and ShareAction highlighted 'varying standards across the LGPS in how funds were assessing and managing climate risk in their investment decision-making'. Analysis by the two groups found that just 12 out of 76 LGPS funds mentioned climate risk in their new investment strategies.
