County Extends Deal After ￡47m Savings

An award-winning partnership between Lincolnshire CC and Mouchel is set to continue until 2015, after a contract extension was agreed. It is thought the council will save ￡28.5m over the next six years. Since the partnership began in 2000, the council says it has freed-up ￡47m. With council budgets under increasing pressure from the Government to deliver efficiencies, and locally, due to the credit crunch, initiatives which deliver big savings are being moved up council agendas. The integration of Mouchel and IT group HBS played a significant part in the extension agreement, said council leader, Cllr Martin Hill.
