Who's driving the health agenda?

To outline some of the key issues, health and transport specialist Dr Adrian Davis gave a brief presentation on some of the lessons he has learned from his experience at Bristol City Council. Dr Davis suggested the Bristol experience was unique in the UK as former director of public health for the authority Dr Hugh Annett asked to have access to all parts of the council and to work with all chief officers and their staff. This approach saw specialists in public health, such as Dr Davis, embedded into the council, particularly on the built environment agenda.
