Trade union, Unison, has urged the Government to backtrack on plans to reduce the minimum 12-week statutory consultation period.While supporting longer times-cales for more complex policy decisions, the union has warned plans to give Whitehall flexibility to dramatically cut consultation times could result in 'hasty ill-thought through decision-making'.
