Ofgem 'failing the poor, says LGA

The national gas and electricity regulator, Ofgem, is fail-ing the country's poorest families, the LGA has warned. Smith Square has claimed that 'thousands of fami-lies' are missing out on vital upgrades to the warmth and energy efficiency of their homes, 'due to Ofgem's failure to prevent gas and electricity companies from cherry-picking easy-to-improve homes to meet their carbon-reduction obligations'.
