The face of Hounslow is changing. "On a physical level we're seeing an I unprecedented amount of regeneration," says Leader of the council, Colin Ellar. The main town centre is being transformed by the £220 million Blenheim Centre development, one of the largest in the capital. Nearby Feltham Town Centre will see the completion, next summer, of an £80 million renaissance. At Brentford, where the Grand Union Canal meets the River Thames, waterside housing developments are transforming the town centre. Along the London Road and the A4/M4 known as the Golden Mile, significant further development is in progress with high profile organisations such as Thames Valley University and BSkyB substantially expanding their facilities.
