Time for a Pioneering approach

Health and social care services are set to be viewed as a single and inter-dependent system: what a very simple and obvious proposition that sounds to anyone in or out of these professions. However, this is, by all comparisons, a transformation on something of an epic scale for these particular sectors. The key to long-term success is, of course, for it to run as smoothly as possible. The aim is clear and that is to make health and social care services work together in order to provide better support at home, earlier treatment in the community and to prevent people needing emergency care in hospital or care homes.
