Progress Of A Good Cause

Nell, it's getting to be that time, the final weeks of the calendar year. A time when the leaves change to beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow before falling to the earth, the temperatures drop, there's the exciting electricity of football fever and a chance to enjoy the late year holidays as we reflect upon the completion of one year and prepare for the next. Unfortunately, being a die-hard Viking's fan, I seem all too ready to focus on that "next" year, but realize there are some things to reflect upon and take note of from this past year. One of those reflections is of the career of one of my coworkers, Rochester Police Officer and fellow MPPOA member, Jim Benson. Jim recently lost a long battle with Cancer. He was a great man and a highly respected Police Officer and E.R.U Sniper that had a very successful career in Law Enforcement. While watching Jim throughout his fight over the years I couldn't help but think of how beneficial it was that he was able to treat at the world famous Mayo Clinic, while staying in his own home.
