Paper Companies Slate Price Increases On Products

This month has seen a flurry of paper companies slating price increases on its paperboard products, mainly due in part to rising costs in scrap fiber. Last week, Caraustar Industries, Inc. reported that it will increase prices by $50 per ton on all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard and converted products produced by its mills; the increase is effective with shipments on and after February 8.
