MT: Where do you see Meggitt in relation to your competitors in terms of products and technologies, size and structure? R. Vadas: Meggitt Training Systems' heritage extends back over 90 years. During that time we have consistently demonstrated our ability and willingness to innovate. Firsts over the years have included system-controlled simulated weapons, unique bullet trap and target lifter/carrier designs and fully embedded armoured vehicle simulators. The markets in which we participate are extremely competitive, not just in terms of price but in the application of technology to meet the training needs of customers the world over. Operating within a framework of three business areas - virtual military systems, live fire military systems and law enforcement systems - we are uniquely positioned to provide complete system level solutions. This structure allows us to focus on the unique characteristics of each sub-market, and to employ common technology, engineering, quality and manufacturing systems to multiply our effectiveness.
