摘要

Much has been published and reported about the family, occupational, financial, and psychological consequences of America's 10-year war in Iraq and Afghanistan (Freeman, Moore & Freeman, 2009; Hoge, 2010; Moore & Penk, 2011; Slone & Freeman, 2008). Various behavioral health stressors associated with the military deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) have been identified, and senior Department of Defense leaders, members of Congress, and state legislative officials recognize their importance. In fact, mental health issues have rarely had the attention and concern they enjoy today-these issues are now seen as critical by military and civilian leaders alike.
