摘要

A low-noise, ultra-wideband (UWB) mixer using a current mirror is proposed for multiband applications. The proposed mixer combines the advantages of both a passive mixer and an active mixer such as a low noise figure, low supply voltage operation, and high gain as well as wideband operation by switching the mirroring node of the current mirror. Moreover, the characteristic of wideband operation of the current mirror allows UWB operation. The proposed mixer operates from 870 MHz to 3.7 GHz. The fully integrated UWB mixer is fabricated in 0.13 $ mu {rm m} $ CMOS technology with IIP3 of $-13 sim - 10~{rm dBm}$, gain of 13.5 ~ 14 dB, and noise figure of 2.9 ~ 6.5 dB. It consumes 16.8 mW of power with a supply voltage of 1.2 V in the band from 870 MHz to 3.7 GHz.
