Gini's criticisms to the theory of inference:a missed opportunity

This paper deals with the criticims that Corrado Gini addressed to the so called Anglo-Saxon theories of inference. Such criticisms were based on a Bayesian argument but Gini's view of probability was not general enough to support Bayesian analysis in general. Therefore while the destructive part of the contributions by Gini became very popular in Italy, at least for some decades, the constructive hints hidden in many of his papers, as far as were useful only in a Bayesian approach, were overlooked.
