Minibus service shortlived

From 2012 to 2015 a fleet of on-demand minibuses operated by Kutsuplus could be seen around Helsinki. Passengers called a bus via an app whose map software advised the route from the starting point to the nearest stop, and from the final stop to the passenger's destination. The navigation and ordering system was developed by start-up company Ajelo Oy, originating from Helsinki Aalto University. It combined trips in the same direction and picked passengers up within a promised timeframe. At the end of 2015, the HSL Executive Board decided to discontinue the service owing to the poor financial situation of the municipalities.
