This is a very comprehensive and fascinating book about the traumas experienced by refugees, and how psychological management can be tailored to help mitigate some of them. Strangely the book has a cover picture depicting two men cradling babies, fleeing……The focus of this book is an analysis of how the family can play an important part in helping refugees cope with the stresses and difficulties of their plight, and how the strength of the family and wider cultural ties can be recognized and utilized clinically by counsellors.
