Tencel lyocell fibres from cellulosic fibre producer Lenzing are being used to help improve the quality of life for sufferers of epidermolysis bullosa (EB). Several patients with EB, whose skin is extremely fragile, have tested leggings, undergarments, pyjamas, quilts and bed linen made of Tencel and found them to be comfortable and skin-friendly, according to the company of Lenzing, Austria.
