Préoccupation quotidienne du pédiatre, les infections respiratoires aiguës basses de l'enfant sont de diagnostic clinique facile, contrairement à leur diagnostic étiologique ; hormis quelques tableaux cliniques caractéristiques par leur séméiologie, orientant d'emblée vers le germe en cause. Le traitement est toujours probabiliste se référant à l'épidémiologie en fonction de l'âge, du terrain et du tableau clinique. La difficulté de réaliser des examens paracliniques adéquats, attestant une écologie bactérienne propre, nous incline à suivre les schémas thérapeutiques proposés par les données de la littérature.%The acute lower respiratory tract infections of the child are a daily preoccupation of the pediatrician. Although they are of easy clinic diagnosis, it goes otherwise for their etiologic diagnosis; except for some clinical manifestations which can be identified by their semiology, turning rightaway into the germ involved. The treatment always refers to epidemiology in accordance with age and clinical findings. The difficulty of carrying out appropriate paraclinic examination to vouch for a peculiar bacterial ecology, influences us in following the therapeutic guidelines proposed by literature data.
