Fabrication of rod-like Ti4O7 with high conductivity by molten salt synthesis

摘要

Herein, we use molten salt synthesis to prepare rod-like Ti4O7 powders at a relatively low temperature. The phase transformation and the morphology of the as-synthesized powders were examined by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. In addition, the Ti4O7 bulk materials sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) showed excellent electrical performance with a conductivity as high as 952.4 S/cm, which show much better properties compared with graphitized carbon and current Ti4O7 electrodes, indicating the superior property of the rod-like structure. Furthermore, the bulk materials also show excellent corrosion resistance in electrochemical test.
