Fairmount Marine's three tugs, the 'Fairmount Expedition', 'Fairmount Glacier' and 'Fairmount Alpine', began towing one of the largest FPSOs, the 'Pazflor' in January.Under the command of tow master Captain Wim van der Korte, the three tugs, with a combined bollard pull of over 600 tons, began the journey of approximately 10.000 nautical miles from the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering's shipyard in Okpo, Korea, to the Pazflor oil fields, discovered in 2003, where the FPSO will be finally set in position 150 miles off the coast of Angola. During the operation it will take on bunkers at Singapore, Mauritius and Cape Town.
