Europort Romania

In spite of volcanic ash clouds and air travel problems, the maritime exhibition Europort Romania took place in the port city of Constanta from 20 until 22 April. Organiser Ahoy Rotterdam together with her partners ANCONAV, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and the Netherlands Embassy in Bucharest look back on a successful networking event. The interest among Romanian Shipyards was large. With some creativity and perseverance the participants in Europort Romania managed to make a timely arrival in Constanta. Thanks to this effort the exhibition started, according to schedule, on Tuesday 20 April. Mr. Hans Smaling, economic and commercial advisor of the Netherlands Embassy in Bucharest, gave the official start signal for 3 days of matchmaking between international suppliers and Romanian decision making maritime professionals.
