There are many considerations in the designing of a new moulded chocolate item and the development of a plastic chocolate mould. Obviously, computer programs are used these days to design and produce the tooling for chocolate moulds. An item developed on the computer can be sent by email, and the mould maker can, with the help of necessary equipment, produce a master tool right from those data, without ever having to look at a picture. But there will be no top chocolate moulds without the many important side considerations during the development of the mould or without the artistic and manual input of the sculpturers and engravers, nor without the many manual jobs of the toolmakers and those who do the fine-tuning and set up the injection moulding machines, so all parameters will be right for a good and lasting chocolate mould.
