The Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA) is featuring company members on its online marketplace called Make Mine Fine. The site also includes information on chocolate equipment, cocoa growing origins and its sister organization the Heirloom Cacao Preservation (HCP) Fund. This month, FCIA member Savage Bros, is highlighted. Here is their story. Savage Bros. Co., located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, manufactures equipment for small to medium size chocolatiers and candy makers. The company was founded in 1855 by brothers William and Richard Savage, and has been recognized as the oldest for-profit private company in metropolitan Chicago.
