Invensys process systems has released a new version of its SimSci-Esscor HEX-TRAN heat transfer and pinch analysis tool that can be used on Microsoft Vista Enterprise & Business operating system. IPS said it has also updated the install procedure and support for Microsoft Office 2007. The heat transfer simulator is said to enable users to evaluate complex design, operation, and retrofit situations, and to design systems for maximum efficiency. The HEXTRAN 9.2's infrastructure includes an enhanced error-logging module and an upgraded object store system.
