Raymond Rodriguez, Jr., (known mostly as "Junior" among his friends), says he got into lowriding after seeing his brother's friend, Joey, cruise a Ford Grand Torino around their La Jolla, California, neighborhood. Junior vividly remembers the front end of that Ford dropping down in a split second, scraping the ground, with sparks flying out of the back end. Just seeing Joey hit the switches blew Junior's mind! After that, he found himself religiously buying LOWRIDER magazine after school every month at his local outlet; the Gonzales Market. Once Junior completed high school, he I began looking for a car project, A close friend at the time sold Junior this '85 Oldsmobile Cutlass, which was primered and sitting on some 13-inch rims. It was a good start, but the build didn't go too far until Junior's affiliation with Uniques Car Club began.
